Zodiac stones by sign: the complete chart
Every zodiac sign has a stone. Aries bloodstone, Taurus rose quartz, Gemini agate — the full chart is below, with sign dates, the traditional meaning of each stone, and a link to the matching piece in our shop. Where a stone has no live piece, we say so and suggest the closest alternative.

Western zodiac vs Chinese zodiac
This guide covers the twelve Western zodiac signs (Aries to Pisces, set by birth date). China has a different system: the twelve zodiac animals (Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig, set by birth year). The two systems don't map onto each other — a Leo is not a Tiger, and a Pisces is not a Rabbit. If you are shopping by the Chinese zodiac, ZenWrist's zodiac bracelet is carved with your birth-year animal in cinnabar, with a silver zodiac charm. On this site, our clear quartz twelve-zodiac bracelet carries all twelve Western signs in one piece.
When a sign has two stones
Traditional lists disagree: most signs have two or even three stones, and different sources pick different ones. We list the most commonly cited stone first and the runner-up second. If your sign shows two stones and you like the second one better, wear that one — there is no authority that settles these lists, and nobody can tell you your sign's stone is wrong.
How to pick a zodiac gift
Match the sign by birth date, then the person. Bracelets are the easiest form — most of our zodiac-stone bracelets are 8mm beads. A tiger's eye bracelet suits a Leo who likes warm, bold colors; a moonstone bracelet suits a Cancer who prefers soft grey light. If the sign's stone is one of the gaps (emerald, sapphire, opal, carnelian, topaz, pearl), the alternative in the table is a fair substitute — and the gift note can say so plainly.
A note on expectations
Zodiac stones are cultural symbols: tradition says tiger's eye means courage, rose quartz means love, black onyx means steadiness — but there is no scientific evidence that any stone affects personality, health, mood, or luck. We describe the lore because it is part of the gift's story, not because we promise results. Buy the stone for its beauty, its craftsmanship, and the thought behind it.
Frequently asked questions
What is my zodiac stone?
Find your sign by birth date in the chart above — Aries (Mar 21–Apr 19) bloodstone, Taurus rose quartz, Gemini agate, Cancer moonstone, Leo tiger's eye, Virgo red agate, Libra tourmaline, Scorpio garnet, Sagittarius amethyst, Capricorn black onyx, Aquarius amethyst, Pisces aquamarine.
My sign has two stones — which one do I pick?
Either. Traditional lists disagree and several signs have two or three stones. Pick the one whose color or meaning you prefer; there is no authority that settles these lists.
What is the difference between zodiac stones and birthstones?
Birthstones are assigned by birth month (January garnet, February amethyst); zodiac stones are assigned by zodiac sign (Aries bloodstone, Taurus rose quartz). The two systems overlap — amethyst is both the February birthstone and the Aquarius stone — but they are different lists. See our birthstones guide for the month chart.
Do you carry Chinese zodiac bracelets?
Not on this site — but ZenWrist, our sister shop, sells a cinnabar zodiac bracelet carved with your birth-year animal (Rat through Pig) with a silver zodiac charm: https://selestone.com/p/47/
Do zodiac stones work?
No scientific evidence shows that zodiac stones affect personality, health, mood, or luck. They are cultural symbols with long histories — buy them for beauty, craftsmanship, and the thought behind the gift.
